Making 100K as a Fiverr Musician - Here's How I Did It

Are you a struggling musician who is looking for an online platform to showcase your talent and make money at the same time?

Then, Fiverr is the perfect place for you! Fiverr is one of the largest freelance marketplaces that offer various services from all over the world.

As a musician, I have personally used Fiverr and made over 100K while working from home.

In this blog post, I will share with you my tips and tricks on how I started, grew, and scaled on Fiverr.

In March 21st 2016 around 10pm, I was doing what most people do at the time - watching a movie and chilling out.

The laptop was on my lap so i browsed the internet whilst the movie was on. Suddenly a fiverr ad popped on my screen!

I click through having never heard of this site before and saw they offered logo designs for just $5!

i wasnt that much interested in logo design (even though $5 for a logo is a real good deal) but i was interested in the music section i spotted. So i browsed for a few minutes and created an account.

Once account was created i closed the laptop and went back to the film. 4 months went by and i completely forgot about fiverr untill a notification popped up in my email saying 'CONGRATULATIONS, YOU HAVE AN ORDEER ON FIVERR!'

I remember thinking, 'huh whats fiverr?' lol. So after going on understading i had gotten my first client, i powered up the computer and started on the job.

It was a theme song for a carribean restuarant.

They were opening up in south london in 8 days time and wanted custom theme music to play on the opening day.

Write, recorded and mixed a song for them - delivered it on time, recieved my first 5 star review and the rest is history :)

A few weeks went by, i got second another job.

another few weeks went by, I got my 3rd job.

and within just six months - i was top rated seller on the platform and now fast forward 7 years, I've reached a milestone of earning $100K, worked with thousands of clients in over 42 different countries and made a ton of friends too.

The key takeaway here is my 'set it and forget it' mindset.

I created the account and walked away.

I wasn't checking it every day to get my hopes and feel let down when there wasn't a job - and till today that's still my motto, 'set it and forget it' or sometimes i called it:

Write, submit, forget, repeat.

This really works for not only music but business too.

Anyways that's how i made 100K as a fiverr musician BUT now its your turn.

These are my best tips on how i would start, grow and scale on fiverr if i had to start all over again

Tip #1: Starting on Fiverr

When starting on Fiverr, the first step is to create an account and set up your profile. Make sure that your profile showcases your skills such as your music niche, experience, and qualifications.

Be creative and professional when building your profile, as it's the first impression you will make on potential clients.

To stand out, post some samples of your music and highlight your unique selling point.

Once you have set up your profile, start by offering gigs at a competitive price.

(I'm talking literally 5 dollars) This way, you can attract more clients and gain more experience.

Don't be too rigid on pricing as you can adjust it with time and as you gain more experience on Fiverr.

Take advantage of buyer requests to pitch your offers and build your clientele.

Remember to set it and forget it.

I took me a few weeks or even months to see get my first client so hang in there and be patient.

Tip #2: Growing The Fiverr business

The key to growing your Fiverr business is to maintain high standards and make your clients happy.

Strive to offer quality, unique and timely services to every client that comes your way.

Ensure that you respond to all inquiries in a timely manner, are polite, and offer good communication throughout the entire process.

On Fiverr, building customer relationships is crucial to growing your business. Encourage reviews and ratings after every successful delivery, as this will not only boost your ratings but also attract more clients.

Keep in mind that repeat customers will become your brand ambassadors and will help you build a strong foundation for your business.

Tip #3: Scaling to 100K

After following the above two tips, it's time to scale your business and aim for bigger profit margins.

To scale, you need to establish yourself as an authority in your niche by offering unique services and standing out among competitors.

Take advantage of Fiverr's promotional tools and paid advertising options to get more visibility and increase your chances of getting hired.

It's also essential to use your current client base to leverage more sales and attract corporate clients.

Offer customized packages and start offering group deals to increase your average order value.

Collaborate with other musicians, bloggers or influencers to offer unique services that can help you reach a wider audience.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, as a fiverr musician, you can make over 100K if you lay the right foundation, grow your customer base, and scale your business.

Remember to be creative, professional and offer quality services, and you will be well on your way to success on Fiverr.

With passion, hard work and persistence, you can turn your music talent into profitable online gigs on Fiverr.

I'll show you step by step on how to earn money from your music on the fiverr platform. Good luck!
